THE THREE MOST PRACTICAL SPRING 2016 MAKEUP TRENDS
One of my blogging goals is to be able to share some makeup and beauty tips. I'm actually trying to come up with a makeup tutorial again but for the mean time, I would love to share this lovely tips for spring.
Spring fashion weeks offer a lot to look forward every year, right from clothing and shoes to makeup and beyond. Spring is easily the most fashionable month, which practically gives you the license to try all the things, both on and off the ramp. This post is a quick guide of trends spotted on the runways in spring 2016, with some ideas on how you can make the most of the same. Let’s quickly get into these fun ideas!
Hot, hotter, and better!: Red lipstick to women is what Ferrari is to men, so it is not very surprising that red lips keep coming back to trend every other season. For spring of this year, you will see a lot of bright red colours, but instead of the orange undertones, you will probably see more blue-undertone shades, which will be more on the side of apples and cherries. Give those plum tones some break and go the classic way with reds, especially for the evenings. The good thing is red works with most party outfits and can turn even the boring dresses into something interesting. Red lips were spotted in shows of Céline, Jason Wu and Nina Ricci.
Blue girl: Black liner and kohl is always classy, but when you actually add blue to the eyes, you make an instant statement. Plus, unlike the red lips, which are often too bright for the daytime, blue eyeliner should work for most occasions. Think of the perfect summer look with cool shorts, a pair of sneakers and the graphic tee, with nothing else on, except for some concealer and blue liner! You can even choose to extend your eye liner into a shadow kind of an effect, especially when you want to add a bit of drama. For sneakers, click here, and for more of these ideas, check the looks at Missoni, Jonathan Saunders, Sonia Rykiel and Diane von Furstenberg.
Volume well: Now this is one trend that has been missing for some time, but thankfully it’s back. If you haven’t as yet, just go ahead and invest in a good brand of mascara that adds volume to the lashes. Make sure to also add a couple of quality false mascaras in your handbag, so that you can go to and forth with the dramatic look easily. Checking the runway looks, it is easy to understand why the looks were all about lashes alone, so the idea is to minimize the use of eyeliner and kohl.
Hopefully, you found the post helpful. Spring makeup is about experimenting, and yet most of the trends in 2016 were about minimalism, so there’s very little that you can go wrong with. The best advice would be stick to singular trends instead of mixing everything together. Have fun!
