Photo Diary: Cañete Clan Reunited 2014
“The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life. Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof.”
As I have mentioned on my previous post, last May 17, 2014, a very special event takes place. I know most of you will agree on me that aside from God, our Family is the only one we can run to, when the world seems to be upside down. That's why I'm very much thankful that God had given me a wonderful family who inspires me to be a better person.
To give you an overview, this reunion takes place at The Pavilions At North Ridge, Monterrazas De Cebu. Cañete Clan is on my mother side. We're celebrating this reunion for our beloved Grand Mother Marcela Cañete. There were family videos and presentation. The highlight of the event was to give something to our "lola" to show our great love for her. There were Fireworks and Flying Lanterns that made the event more meaningful. Allow me to show you my photo diary that day.
My lola (grandmom) in the center with her sons and daughters together with the in-laws. (Mama & Papa 2nd From the right)
My mother dear, who shares her childhood experience and her children's achievement. :) #proudmama
My beautiful granny in her yellow-orange sequined gown.
Oh yeah! We sure are plenty! :) Together with our beautiful and handsome cousins.
My beautiful niece Akiesha with my brother Mykuh singing "Le Famous" song "Let it Go". Look at how pretty my niece with her Elsa gown from Frozen.
It was indeed a very successful event that will surely be remembered. We hope and wish that 5 years from now we will be gathered again. We certainly pray that everybody will have good health, especially my granny.
Before I'll end this post let me introduce first my beloved family. from Left to Right- Youngest-Eldest (Mykuh, Gio Andrew, Joanna, Joey Ian, Eve, Rica (yours truly), My Dad & Mom with my niece Kc, Joyce, and Gwen the eldest with my niece Atasha)

Great story about your family! My uncle, whom I dearly love like a father & I call him papa Toto is a Canete as well. I know that's just coincidence since he's from Iloilo & he has family in Cebu as well. Just couldn't help wondering :)
