HOW TO UPDATE A FIXER UPPER

Upgrading Exterior - First thing you need to consider is the exterior design. One of the biggest impact you need to update or upgrade is the outside of your home. You can either repaint it to your preferred colour or you can add some accents on it, like adding some bricks or stones. Either way, it's a great way to update your home's exterior look.

Changing the lights - can make your home feel cozy which is why it is really an important factor we need to consider. It sure is one of the smallest factor that brings a very big impact into your new home. 

Upgrade the ceilings - When changing lights, this comes next. Upgrading the ceiling by changing the paint to match it with your new chandelier or the newly replaced lights.

Update Fixtures - Next is its fixtures. Fixtures can become outdated quickly that's why it is best to have it replaced or upgrade it to make it new. You can either change the faucets on every sink or upgrade the bathroom with new shower. You can also change the tiles on your kitchen sink. Adding or changing these small touches can upgrade the whole look into a new one. 

Change/Upgrade Window/Doors - If both of them are still in good condition, there's no need to replace it to a new one, but if you wanted to upgrade it, try adding some accents on the side or use your creativity to upgrade its design. Repainting them is also a great option. 

Painting on Interior - Painting the interior wall comes next. If you also prefer adding a wallpaper instead of painting it, that will do. As long as it can brighten the ambiance of your home. 

Upgrading Cabinets/Shelves - If you have an extra budget on upgrading your cabinets or wanting to install shelves on your kitchen or dining area, you can also do that. But if there are old cabinets that can still be use you can also upgrade them by repainting it. 

Replacing Floors/Carpet - Replacing an old carpet is a must too. We don't want it to destroy the beauty of your interior. Hardwoods or laminated floors are the best options but if you're on a tight budget there are a lot of choices you can search online when it comes to changing your floor, you just have to use your creativity. 

Adding a Curb Appeal - Talking about creativity, adding a curb appeal can make it a place you wanted to go home to whenever you're having a bad day at work. You need to make sure that the surrounding is clean. If there are dead plants you can replace it by planting new. It is always nice to see colourful surroundings and beautiful flowers. You can also upgrade the mailbox if necessary and repaint your porch with pleasant colours that will add a beautiful vibe on your new found home.
