What a pretty day to start it with a pretty post! If you're my follower on IG then I guess you already know what my post will be all about today. Last week I have received a message on lookbook from my fellow pretty Filipina lookbooker and a blogger as well, Winchell. It's been a year already since I first created my lookbook account that drives me to write a blog about my fashion finds. I felt so glad and really happy when someone dropped a message and appreciates my fashion style. Not just that, She reads my blog as well and she asked me to write a post on how to rock a bandanna, headband, or turban. Yes! That's a request:) I really love doing a request post from my readers because it made me feel like I have achieved and influenced my readers on how I style.
Thank you Winchell for this request, I never thought someone will notice my love for headband or bandanna. It actually one of the pieces I love on rocking a simple outfit since I'm not really into shopping new and expensive clothes. I'm a thrift buddy but right now I'm on a crisis because of my tuition fee so I have to use what I have and I must be resourceful and creative. One way I consider always, especially when I have less accessories and simple clothing is my headpiece. So let's start it with my first Stylish way on wearing a headband.
1) Head Wrap - No extra effort done, if your in a hurry you can just wear your headband this way. No more fixing necessary, by the way I have curl the tip of my hair that day to add a little volume on my hair. This looks perfect if you have a side bangs like mine:)
2. Take a lift - I seldom uses this style, wanna know why? urgh! I hate flaunting my wide forehead.. lol. Anyways, if you have a cute forehead you can rock this style whether you have a straight or a curly hair. This can actually brighten your face, and if you have a nice face feature then go ahead and flaunt it.
3. Cutie-patootie - Unlike the 2nd style this one requires to pull out a little bangs or if you don't have a bangs you can use your front hair and style it the way you wanted. Either sided or divided hair and drop it off a little, like Sakura in Naruto. If you want to look a little younger than your age then try this style. You can also wear it on the beach and match it with your swimwear. You can also try to check out women swimsuit to match your bandana!
4. Side Wrap - Similar to style number one but the only difference is that you have to put your hair on whichever your comfortable with, either at your left shoulder or right. Mine is always at left, you have to at least find which angle you look best. This is so far my favorite style among the others.
5. Bring out the Boho - Wear your headband like a bandanna and achieve the boho look in you. Anyone can rock this style that symbolizes confidence, freedom and being cool. If you have a long and straight hair and no bangs, this one will totally rock! Of course you have to match it to a certain hippie outfit.
6. Sporty chic - If you still wanted to look pretty with your workout, on your jogging routine perhaps, don't just stick on tying your hair in a simple ponytail. Rock it out with this sporty style and you'll be surprise that guys will dig your look even if you're sweating. I uses this style in my zumba sessions. Tie your hair first and then put that headband on, still it depends on you if your going to keep your bangs or just let it drop :)
That's it! Those were just my basic tips on how to rock your headband. You can also wear a scarf/bandanna as a headpiece, like this one below. I call it the Retro Style, since I tied it in front. You can either braid your hair or just leave it the way it is. Curl or straight, you will always look good. Remember, it's a matter of self confidence and being comfortable about it. Whichever style you wanted it's always important that you're happy and confident. Bring out the real you:)
I guess that's it for now, I have enjoyed making this post for everyone. Thank you so much Winchell for the idea and for reading my blog.
