Say A little Prayer..
October 15, 2013, Tuesday, around 8:06 a.m, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake scares everyone in Bohol, Cebu and the rest of Central Visayas, Philippines. I was still sleeping on my bed when the calamity takes place. It was holiday yesterday and all of us were just at home. My mom and dad and some of my sisters were already awake before it happened. A day before the calamity, I was reading some articles about earthquakes, and even mentioned it to my colleagues. I don't know but I think it was a sign already. I really never thought that it will happen again. Same thing happened last year, February 6, 2012 when I was at the office, a 6.8 magnitude hits Cebu as well. But what happened yesterday was a history for us, our house was really shaken which wakes me up. My mom was screaming down stairs that we have to stay where we are, but we didn't listen to her, we went down and saw her under the table. We ran towards her and together we pray until it stopped. That moment, I thought it was the end of the world. We were all scared, but it didn't stop from there. Every now and then there were aftershocks and I can't even explain what I feel up to now. All I know is that I am thankful to God that He was able to protect us. Our house was still intact, there were no damages, and all of us were safe. But my heart was broken, upon seeing the news about the damages that the earthquake had brought. The historical Churches in Bohol was a total wreck and the Basilica Del Sto. Nino Church here in Cebu was partly damaged and a lot of establishments were affected but most of all there were people who died. That's why today, I'm all asking for your help. Please help us pray for all the victims who died, for everyone who had experienced this calamity, and for the recovery of all the people living in Central Visayas.
"Father God, We humbly ask that you spare our families, relatives and our nation from the threat of this earthquakes. We lift our safety unto your loving arms & shield us from destruction. We also lift it up to you Oh Lord, the souls of all the victims of this calamity, and we pray for the recovery of all the people who experienced it. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen."
