DEAR SURVIVOR : BE AN INSPIRATION TO ALL, TO NEVER LOSE HOPE AND TO ALWAYS WALK IN FAITH.
Dear Survivor,
Remember those times that you are too scared to go out because you are afraid to get infected? Yet, you needed to, because you have a daughter to feed. Remember all those face masks, face shileds and plastic gloves you have to wear when you go out to buy grocery? How about the amount of hand sanitizer or alcohol you needed to spray every now and then? The pile of laundry you needed to wash because you have to take a bath every after errands. How about the anxiety and fear that Covid-19 had brought. Yes, you have to remember it.
I know deep within that you are in great pain, you are worry and sorry for all the lives that ended, to all those who suffers from anxieties that wakes them up in the middle of the night and you were devastated that because of this, your sister had to suffer depression that ended into an attempt in taking her own life.
It is not easy. It is never easy to live a life where you witness people dying, your loved ones getting sick and the economy going down. You want to break down and cry yet you needed to be strong for your family, especially for your seven year old daughter who needed you the most. Days became weeks, weeks became months and months became a year ever since this pandemic happened, that had brought fear, pain and sorrow to humanity. Yet, you remain standing and strong, and I thank you for that.
Thank you for not giving up and for having faith that everything will go back to normal. You’ve lost some colleagues and you almost lost a loved one but then you remained hopeful that life will get better soon. You have a lot of realizations about life and it made you more mature enough to handle difficult times. You may be a single mom but you aren’t alone in this journey called life. You have a loving parents and sibs that keep you going. And most especially, you have God.
You didn’t let all the bad things affect your faith but in contrary, your faith has become doubled. Your family becomes much stronger and closer than before.
You deserve a big warm hug for being positive in life and for never losing hope. As we are slowly rising up with the hopes that the answer to our prayers every night are slowly becoming a reality. Vaccines have been distributed all over the country and the cases of fatal and deaths are slowly going down. We are slowly going back to normal.
How great it is that you stayed alive and well! Always remember that in life we don't have to deny the pain of today nor deny the hope of our future, because life isn't always about rainbows and unicorns. You also need to experience whirlwinds and storms.
Remember that you are a blessing and be an inspiration to all, to never lose hope and to always Walk in Faith.
With a grateful heart,
Sassy Cebuana

Thanks for the reminder to "walk in faith" :)
ReplyDelete:) It's my pleasure. He's the only one who can guide us through this tough journey.
DeleteThis is a great reminder for me. Walk in Faith. Yes! Thank you for this reminder. I needed this.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this wonderful reminder on not giving up, to walk in faith and be an inspiration. God bless you!
ReplyDeleteThis pandemic, even the young one suffered from depression. Hope this will be over soon!
ReplyDeletePhilippians 4:6 say it perfectly: "Let your petitions be made known to God." We can learn much from the Bible example of Hannah, she prayed fervently, even sobbing in between. Our prayers need not be articulate, because God already knows what we feel.
ReplyDeleteYet, it gives us comfort to say our anxieties and fears in prayer…knowing that the God of all comfort always hears us.
